The history from the very beginning

1911

Foundation of Haarländer & Schmidt in the small town of Georgensgmünd

1920

Relocation to Eckersmühlen, a district of Roth, our county seat

1935

Haarländer leaves the company for family reasons. Heinrich Schmidt continues to manage the company, with its name remaining unchanged

1949

Johann Schmidt takes over as head of the company after his father’s death

On the 1st Januar, 1981 company is reorganized - Helmut Aurnhammer joins as new partner alongside Johann Schmidt


18th June 1981

Johann Schmidt passes away – having run and shaped the business for 55 years. He is succeeded by his son Rüdiger

1995

LEONI takes over Aurnhammer + Benedikt, thus automatically turning into co-owner of Haarländer & Schmidt as well

End of 1998

LEONI becomes sole owner
